FIELD: optics. SUBSTANCE: radiating adder has at least two radiation sources with radiating strips, display positioned between radiation sources and focusing zone and carrying radiation former that incorporates aids for radiation collimation and aid for radiation focusing. Centers of radiating strips of radiation sources are predominantly located in plane perpendicular to long sides of radiating strips. Optical length from output butt of each radiation source to focusing zone is equal to L± ΔL, where ΔL is deviation of optical length amounting to not more than 10% of L. Radiation former incorporates one aid to transport radiation, as minimum, capable of mixing radiation of radiation sources over at least part of its extent. Aids for radiation collimation are manufactured in the form of means collimating radiation in planes parallel to short sides of radiating strips and located on side of radiation sources and means collimating radiation in plane parallel to long sides of radiating strips which is located behind aid to transport radiation. EFFECT: increased brightness and density of output power, decreased radiation losses, enhanced operational efficiency on various wave lengths, simplified adjustment and manufacturing technology, reduced overall dimensions and mass. 18 cl, 3 dwg
