FIELD: information technology; shared displays assembled of discrete modules. SUBSTANCE: method involves shaping and spatial displacement of microminiature picture dots by means of matrix system of light-guide modules for organizing solid information panel on projection surface. At the same time microminiature picture dots are scaled by varying center-to-center distance between adjacent microminiature dots. To this end use is made of light-guide modules with light guides individual for each display cell whose input aperture is brought in alignment with output aperture of respective display cell. Cellular matrix display implementing proposed method has at least two display panels each incorporating matrix of display cells formed in vicinity of projection surfaces as well as matrix system of light-guide modules. Input aperture of each light guide is identical in shape and size to output aperture of respective display cell and is aligned with output aperture of mentioned display cell. All modules are unified and interchangeable parts. Quality of data display is improved and area of solid data panel is unlimited due to reduced blur. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities; facilitated manufacture and assembly of display. 15 cl, 11 dwg
