FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has deck with frictional bottom. Deck is provided with skirt and seed baffle made in the form of wall positioned at side opposite to skirt. Lower part of seed baffle is defined by surface having curvature radius decreasing in direction of advancement of material. Method involves moving material along spiral path of irregular shape having triangular section with rounded angles. Length of sides and curvature radius of apexes of triangles are decreasing in the direction of advancement of material.
