METAL MOLD RELEASE AGENT Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: water-based release agent for metal molds used for fabricating concrete and reinforced concrete products contains 20-40% of spent motor oil, 2.0-4.0% of saponified tall pitch (emulsifier), and 0.15-0.45% of aqueous hydrochloric acid. Such release agent provides good stripping characteristics, plain and smooth surface of concrete product without grease stains worsening appearance and requiring extra expenses to remove them. Agent causes no corrosion of mold metal. Use of spent oils also contributes to lower price of agent. EFFECT: improved quality at lower cost. 1 tbl, 3 ex
