FIELD: mining of underwater placers. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic mechanization and can be used for mining ores of high density. Proposed suction device has suction head with ring screen. The latter is made flat and rigid stabilization section, and is arranged square to axis of suction head and is provided with rounding-off element installed at side of outer edge of ring screen. Stabilization section and vertical part of ring screen are conjugated over curvilinear surface. Invention provides enlargement of area of face working from one position of suction-tube dredger, improved efficiency of suction of heavy fractions of placer and equality working of face zone.
