FIELD: measurement technology; measurement of parameters of flow of liquid and gaseous media or determination of motion of solid bodies, ships and aircraft relative to fluid media. SUBSTANCE: pressure pick-up is made in form of body of revolution whose head portion has central entry opening and peripheral entry openings used for measurement of pressures necessary for determination of direction and magnitude of liquid or gas velocity; cylindrical portion of pick-up has entry openings for measurement of static pressure; head portion has bead whose surface is formed by rotation of smooth curve lying in plane of symmetry of pick-up around its; axis; peripheral openings are made in bead. EFFECT: enhanced sensitivity of pickup-up to angles of downwash and magnitude of velocity head; enhanced accuracy of measurement of pressure in liquid or gas flow due to increased pressure drops acting on pickup-up surface. 4 dwg
