FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves placing tubers in water vessel; creating directed water flow for discharging diseased and injured tubers; directing remaining tubers by conveyor into vessel containing toxic chemicals; transporting treated tubers to discharge conveyor for treatment by microfertilizers and transferring treated tubers to vehicles. Method allows seed potato to be sorted out without usage of manual labor, i.e. preparing of seed potato tubers for planting, potato washing and treatment with toxic chemicals and microfertilizers to be completely mechanized. Potato yield is increased by 47-55%. EFFECT: increased efficiency of potato planters, simplified method and improved quality of planting process. 1 dwg
