FIELD: power engineering industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction of vehicle torque converter. It has the first and second pumps which channels accommodate blades directed to side opposite to that of reactor blades, the first head in the form of ring with holes coupled mechanically to engine shaft and the second head shaped as tubular channels which change flow of working fluid into the opposite one. The first and second pumps are positioned between respective reactor and overrunning clutch and are mechanically coupled to them. Runner is mechanically coupled to turbine shaft, and its diameter exceeds diameter of pump impeller. The invention provides for extended range of high-efficiency values and rise of efficiency within entire range of gear ratios of torque converter operation.
