FIELD: heat-power engineering; water supply systems; thermal systems of thermal power stations and boiler houses. SUBSTANCE: liquid is fed under pressure to vacuum chamber through spraying head. Flow of gas-and-liquid mixture formed at chamber outlet is fed to closed taper zone tangentially relative to lateral surface of closed zone and at angle relative to axis of closed zone, thus imparting rotary and translational motion to flow. Flow forms spiral vortex at vertical axis and decreasing radius of vortex twisting. Under action of centrifugal force this flow is divided into liquid and gas phases. Device proposed for realization of this method has branch pipe for supply of liquid to be degassed, spraying head consisting on nozzle and tip fitted on its end and vacuum chamber. Cyclone is mounted at chamber outlet. Axis of vacuum chamber is directed tangentially relative to lateral surface of cyclone and at angle relative to its axis.
