ROLLING STAND Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: plastic metal working, namely constructions of rolling stands of mills for making rolled bars, mainly shaped cross section wire. SUBSTANCE: housing of stand has window at maintenance side between cylindrical turnings for eccentric sleeves. Size of window corresponds to size of chock of vertical non-driven roll that may move along window. In housing cylindrical liners are mounted. On threaded end portions of liners traverse bar that may move along them and supports non-driven vertical roll is mounted. Said liners have openings coaxial relative to rolling axis for placing guides. Chock of vertical roll is in the form of casing with =-shaped cross section. In said casing roll bandage is mounted on axle with use of bearing assemblies. On end portions of traverse bar there are openings corresponding to cylindrical liners of stand. Traverse bar movable along liners may be fixed onto them by means of nuts. EFFECT: possibility for enlarging assortment of rolled bars, simplified design of double-roll stand with cantilever rolls. 2 cl, 7 dwg
