METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE OF END DECORATIVE PANEL Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: wood-working, applicable for manufacture of end decorative panels from wood waste for decorative facing of walls of inner rooms, furniture and other articles or their components, as well as for manufacture of parquet boards. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in molding of timber blanks by contour compaction in profiled moulds, having the shape of regular polygons, with reduction of preliminarily water-impregnated cylindrical cut logs to a water content of 80 to 120% before pressing in a mould. The blanks are dried in the same moulds, then the blanks are calibrated and packed, the packs are reduced in three mutually perpendicular axes by holding them under pressure. After that the packs are sawn into plates, which then are cut into separate members. These members are cemented onto the base to obtain a decorative pattern, after that finishing operations are performed. EFFECT: enhanced capacity of molding, prevented cracklings and laminations of cylindrical cut logs at reduction, reduced rejects at drying of blanks in moulds. 5 dwg
