ECOBUS Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering; vehicles supplied from contact system with possibility of driving being supplied from self-contained power source. SUBSTANCE: proposed ecobus has pole retriever unit with electromagnetic stop, and pole retriever drive for setting poles on wires. Drive is connected with pole by cable. Ecobus is provided also with controlled valve, change-over switches, pole lifting angle-to-base pickup, command device and setter. First input of controlled valve is connected with output of angle pickup, and second input, with output of first setter. Outputs of controlled valve and pole retriever unit are connected with pole retriever drive through corresponding change-over switch. Control input of change-over switch is connected with output of command device. Drive to provide horizontal displacement of poles is also installed. Setters can be made in form of adjustable voltage supply sources. Provision is made for mounting vehicle position -to- contact wire pickup. If vehicle gets disconnected from contact system or in case of disappearance of voltage exceeding time relay setting, change-over switch drive is switched on to provide self-contained driving of vehicle. EFFECT: improved characteristics of main operating mode, provision of automatic change-over to self-contained operating mode and back. 5 cl, 5 dwg
