FIELD: paint and vanish industry, more particularly preparation of wide range of paintwork materials. SUBSTANCE: described is drying oil which comprises film- forming agent, e.g. oxidated sunflower oil and siccative. Filmforming agent is oxidated sunflower oil having viscosity of 33-58 s as measured by viscosimeter (20 C), and siccative includes cobaltbarium salts of sunflower oil acids at weight ratio of 6.66:1 as 30% solution in prepared sunflower oil in amount of 0.8-2.3 wt % based or entire drying oil and soluble in film- forming agent at 60-70 C. EFFECT: accelerated process of air drying of drying oil which retains high strength and has low color characteristics as measured by iodometric scale. 3 tbl
