METHOD OF CLEANING WATER FROM RADICAL AND ION-RADICAL PARTICLES Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: vital activity of human being; water cleaning and conditioning systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in filtration of water through layer containing mixture of carbon microclusters with filler which makes it possible to clean water from radical and ion-radial particles. Filler is first subjected to sterilization and filtration is carried out at content of carbon microclusters in layer ranging from 0.1 to 30 mass-%; in the course of filtration, ratio of volume of layer to hourly volume of water media ranges from 1/1 to 100. Natural mineral schungite ground to size of particles of 0.01 to 5 mm at carbon content no less than 10 mas.% may be used as source of carbon microclusters. To enhanced efficiency of method, water may be subjected to additional filtration through second layer in way of water flow; this layer consists of particles of carbonate rock ground to size of 0.01 to 5 mm.
