FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of production of nitrocellulose and nitrocellulose-base materials used for preparing paint and varnish and glue compositions. Method involves mixing water-soluble plasticizer with nitrocellulose aqueous suspension directly taken in the amount 25-45% of suspension liquid phase, water squeezing out and drying. Method provides plasticizer content in ready product 18-22 wt.% after water squeezing out and drying. Method ensures to obtain homogeneous plasticized nitrocellulose from varnish colloxylins of different viscosity and different types of water-soluble plasticizers.
