FIELD: electrical equipment for internal-combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: safety cap designed to protect junction between high-voltage wire lug and spark plug of internal-combustion engine has rubber tube divided into five sections; first section has longitudinal grooves and ribs; annular projections are made on second section; third conical section has boss ; fourth and fifth sections are provided on inner surface of through hole of tube and meant to accommodate spark plug and high-voltage wire, respectively. Third conical section is made so that smaller cross-sectional area of tube is located near boss and ratio of total length of second and third sections to that of first and third ones is 0.6-0. Fourth section has projection or inclined step on fifth section end which is designed to hold spark plug in position. EFFECT: improved tightness of lug-to-spark-plug joint. 9 cl, 4 dwg
