SUBSTANCE: task of the invention is reducing the size of the igniter and improving the efficiency of the spark discharge. A laser igniter, comprising an optical system and a pre-ignition chamber separated from the optical system by a washer with a centre hole, and a bottom with an exit hole therein, is configured to simultaneously generate corona discharge and a laser beam.

EFFECT: reduced fuel consumption and emission of harmful substances, and high reliability of ignition.
