FIELD: signal lighting equipment of airfields and landing grounds for helicopters; applicable for visual support of helicopter landing or final stage of aircraft landing, including touchdown and landing run on runway and aircraft take-off at night, as well in the conditions of poor visibility, as well as for regulation of aircraft motion on the flying field and light safety barrier of high-level obstacles in the area of the airfield. SUBSTANCE: method consists in creation of a light landing corridor and/or light fixed points that are made by lighting of the runway and/or light fixed points that are made by lighting of the runway and/or landing ground, and/or flying field, and/or high-level obstacles in the area of the airfield by infra-red radiation. The surfaces of the above objects contain an antistoke luminescent compound representing a crystalline structure, whose lattice accommodates simultaneously atoms of at least three rare-earth elements. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of signal lighting and airfield camouflage, prevented confusion of signal lights with some other foreign light sources. 6 cl
