Abstract RU 2153443 C2

FIELD: flight control systems. SUBSTANCE: system includes passive reflectors mounted along boundaries of runway and outside of it. Passive reflectors operate simultaneously in optical and radar wave bands forming narrow reflection to source of illumination. Each passive reflector is mounted in such position that projection of axis of maximum solid angle in which it ensures narrow reflection to source of illumination at level not below 3 dB from maximum in radar wave band and maximum in optical wave band to horizontal plane is parallel to runway. Load-bearing structure of passive reflector consists of several member forming one or several radar reflectors ensuring narrow reflection to source of illumination and moving in wide solid angle relative to passive reflector. Axes of maxima in radar wave band are optimally matched with similar axes in optical wave band. Geometric body of reflector is coated with light-reflecting film. They are radioparent. EFFECT: increased distance of determination of aircraft position under difficult weather conditions to distance of beginning of glide path. 3 cl, 5 dwg
