FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: proposed complex has three-phase generator driven by wheelset axle, generator voltage control unit, step-down transformer connected to external three- phase network, switching device, thyristor rectifier, rectifier control unit, two current and storage battery. Inputs of rectifier are connected through switching device to generator and transformer and its output is connected to railway car common buses through first current sensor. Storage battery is connected to common buses through second current sensor. Inputs of control unit are connected to outputs of rectifier and both current sensors and also to generator power winding. Inputs of control unit are connected to inputs and output of rectifier, output of second current sensor and signal output of switching device, and output is connected to control gates of rectifier thyristors. It provides automatic control of battery charging voltage both at supply from car generator and from external network. EFFECT: provision of effective electronic protection of current sources from overloading and automatic change-over of car supply from generator to external network. 3 cl, 1 dwg
