FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: described is method of catalytic hydrogenation of 2,5- and 2,3-dihydrofurane to tetrahydrofurane with hydrogen using catalyst which has metal gauze or metal film which serve as carrier onto which metal or more metals are applied by method of spraying or metal coating. Metal carriers are carriers of chromium-aluminium alloy, chromium-nickel alloy or chromium nickel-molybdenum alloy. Tetrahydrofurane is used as industrial product in large-scale production, as solvent or initial material for preparing polytetrahydrofurane.
