APPARATUS FOR EXTRACTING SLAG SCUM FROM LADDLE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, namely apparatuses for removing slag scum from laddle at pouring out. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes lifting winch mounted on cargo car of bridge crane, hook type suspension with traverse bar supporting working organ in the form of T-cross section ring with outer flange placed onto end surface of laddle. Shape of outer surface of ring wall corresponds to contour of laddle. Inner wall of ring is in the form of truncated cone whose apex is arranged at side of laddle bottom. Said surfaces are joined by means of surface of truncated cone whose apex is also arranged at side of laddle bottom nearer to its center. EFFECT: accelerated operation of slag scum removing from metal transporting laddles. 3 dwg
