FIELD: decontamination of radioactive wastes. SUBSTANCE: matrix contaminated with radionuclides is held in supercritical solvent of high-pressure chamber in the environment of water, organic acid, and chelator. After that chamber is pumped through with supercritical carbon dioxide to ensure complete extraction, and metal extracted is accumulated in solution. Polyethylene glycols or substituted polyethylene glycols with metal-to-chelator molar proportion of 1:3-500 may be used as chelator.
