FIELD: preparation of fresh water where no water supply systems are available. SUBSTANCE: device is made in form of refrigerating chamber with cooling elements inside it; cooling elements are made in form of metal tubes through which liquid coolant flows which is cooled in compression refrigerating machine or Peltier semiconductor elements. Air is sucked into refrigerating chamber via branch pipes located on heat exchanger. Air is cooled in this chamber and water vapor contained in it is condensed in form of water or in form of ice and snow. Cold and dehydrated air is fed to heat exchanger by the same pump via heat-insulated pipe flowing over branch pipes through which air is sucked, thus cooling air being sucked and considerably reducing power requirements for cooling the air in refrigerating chamber. Then cold air is admitted to second additional heat exchanger where it cools hot tubes of condenser of compression refrigerating machine or junctions of semiconductor Peltier elements considerably enhancing efficiency of refrigerating machine and Peltier semiconductor elements.
