FIELD: petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: light oil- polymer tar is prepared from hydrocarbon pyrolysis liquid product fraction. Process consists in catalytic polymerization of fraction 130-200 C in reactor in presence of fixed bed of alumino-chromium catalyst containing 8-30% chromium oxide supported by gamma-alumina followed by distillation of tar. Reaction is carried out preferably for 1-4 h at 170-210 C and pressure 0.3-0.7 MPa. Product is characterized by iodine number 25-40 mg/100 ml, softening temperature 81-83 C. Yield 32.1-47%. EFFECT: reduced power consumption. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 2 tbl, 8 ex
