FIELD: petrochemical processes.
SUBSTANCE: dark petroleum-polymer resin is obtained from heavy fraction of hydrocarbon feedstock pyrolysis products. Process consists in catalytic polymerization of pyrolysis product fraction 160оС-dry point at temperature 150-210оС and pressure up to MPa for 0.5-2 h in presence of stationary, loaded into reactor alumino-cobalt-molybdenum catalyst containing 2.0-6.0% CoO and 10.0-18.0% MoO3 on γ-alumina carrier. Distilling off liquid hydrocarbons produce dark petroleum-polymer resin with softening temperature 80-95оС, yield 43-58%.
EFFECT: increased yield of resin and reduced power consumption.
