SUBSTANCE: the method consist in application of ultradispersed powder or its mix with the process media onto the surface of each shell and inner surface of the barrel before each shot of the series consisting at least of 3 to 5 rounds, the ultradispersed powder is prepared of natural minerals or of a mix of natural minerals of a number of laminated silicates comprising various structural modifications of compound Mg3[Si2O5](OH)4. As a result, ensured is modification of the barrel inner surface with formation of specific metalloceramic phases resisting to corrosion and wear, which enhances the ballistic characteristics of firearm.
