METHOD OF ALPHA-FETOPROTEIN PREPARATION PREPARING Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: human abortion serum is diluted by 4-fold and mixed with affine resin containing antibodies raised to alpha-fetoprotein in concentration 1 g/l, not less. Liquid is decanted and resin is transferred in chromatography column. Alpha-fetoprotein is eluted from resin with 4 MgCl₂ solution, obtained solution is subjected for ultrafiltration and CaCl₂ and tris-OH are added up to final concentration 0.1 M and trypsin also. Solution is kept, subjected for ultrafiltration and alpha-fetoprotein concentrate is obtained with purity 90%, not below. Polysaccharide and physiological solution are added to the product followed by sterilization, ampoulation and drying.
