FIELD: equipment for grinding solid materials in liquid. SUBSTANCE: grinding unit has casing, disk-shaped working tools mounted inside casing for rotation in opposite directions. Rectangular striking members are arranged in concentric rows on working tool surfaces faced one to the other. Segment-shaped accelerating blades are positioned on peripheral parts of working tool of larger diameter. Concave surfaces of blades are oriented in direction of rotation of working tool on which they are mounted. Inner end surface of casing step of larger diameter is made toroidal, and tangential discharge branch pipe is made in the form of truncated cone and is connected with its smaller end to hydraulic cyclone. Such construction provides effective grinding of solid material placed in liquid, with following separation of solid ground material from liquid.
