FIELD: manufacture of building materials; construction engineering; shipbuilding; lift and car building; decoration of rooms, suspended ceilings, partitions, doors where stringent requirements are imposed from the standpoint of fire prevention, heat and sound insulation and vibration dampening. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes mixing the components, viz.; expanded vermiculite, additive, silicate binder followed by hot molding; introduction of silicate binder at mixing the components is effected by airless spraying performed tangentially relative to direction of motion of remaining dry components; tripolyphosphate of alkaline metal is used as additive; in mixing the components, ground kaolin and/or ground chalk and/or mineral fiber are additionally introduced. Hot molding is conducted at 160-190 C on microporous substrates which ensure removal of vapor-and-air mixture through creation of rarefaction of 0.5 to 1.0 atm under them; soluble soda-lime glass is used as binder. Crude mixture contains the following components, mass-% (dry-substance): expanded vermiculite, 58 to 77; soluble soda-lime glass, 10 to 25; tripolyphosphate of alkaline metal, 2 to 10 and additionally: ground kaolin, 1 to 4 and/or ground chalk, 3 to 5 and mineral fiber remainder.
