FIRE-RETARDANT COMPOSITION AND FIRE-RETARDANT BARRICADE FOR CABLE DRIVAGE Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2249568 C1

FIELD: building materials.

SUBSTANCE: claimed composition contains (mass %): liquid glass or siliconephosphate binder 55-65; calcium carbonate 7-14; fly ash 6-10; chopped kaolin fiber with length of 3 mm 8-12; expanded vermiculite 11-13. Fire-retardant barricade for cable drivage formed as glass fiber bearer filled with expanded and/or non-expanded vermiculite and granulated basalt fiber and coated with claimed fire-retardant composition, wherein coating layer depth in dry state is 1.8-2.2 mm, is also disclosed. Composition of present invention is useful for cavity filling, namely cable drivage in building constructions, such as tunnels etc, to limit flame expansion. Invention provides fire resistance limit for at least 1.5 h.

EFFECT: increased fire-retardant efficiency of cable drivage due to improved fire resistance.
