FIELD: manufacture of heat-insulating building materials having improved heat resistance and high service characteristics. SUBSTANCE: method is carried out as follows. Foaming polyurethane foam constituents, polyethylene glycol and polyisocyanate and finely dispersed powder of natural gypsum or dolomite meal are batched. Finely dispersed powder of natural gypsum is first added to polyethylene polyglycol under continuous stirring and polyisocyanate is then added to the resulting mixture while continuing stirring. EFFECT: higher heat resistance of the resulting material and wider range of raw materials used. 2 tbl
