FIELD: jet engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed method is designed for locking exhaust nozzle of jet engine provided with actuators coupled with synchronizing cable. Locking is done as follows: synchronizing cable is coupled with cone brake of shutoff mechanism to prevent rotation of cable in case of failure of hydraulic system. Nozzle will be kept locked in position over entire period of failure of hydraulic system. EFFECT: considerable reduction of used thrust. 8 cl, 6 dwg
