FIELD: generation of steam; heat exchange equipment of nuclear power plants. SUBSTANCE: steam generator has vertical heating agent supply collectors with flat horizontal shields connected to them; these shields are made from heat- exchange tubes embraced by shell together with collectors; heating agent discharge collector and sections of heat-exchange tubes adjoining it are enclosed in cavity which is closed over perimeter; this cavity is formed by vertical recess tightly mounted relative to casing of steam generator and provided with holes for passage of heat- exchange tubes; provision is made for delivery of feed water to this recess. EFFECT: reduction of heating agent temperature at outlet of heat-exchange tubes. 4 cl, 4 dwg
