FIELD: thermal physics. SUBSTANCE: thermal probe includes body with built-in measurement head whose heat insulation backing carries linear heater and temperature- sensitive element presenting thermopile composed of two differential thermocouples connected in series. In plane parallel to contact plane and located at distance equal to half-thickness of heat insulation backing there is additionally positioned auxiliary thermopile in symmetry to plane passing through line of heater and perpendicular to contact plane. Distances from plane of symmetry to differential thermocouples of auxiliary thermopile is set equal to distances from basic differential thermocouples to same plane. Differential thermocouple is in addition placed in plane of symmetry on normal to line of heater with distances between thermocouples being specified.
