FIELD: selection of moving targets in coherent-pulse surveillance radars having two receiving antennas or antenna array. SUBSTANCE: method of selection of moving targets is based on extraction of signal of radial movement of target by coherent detection, on suppression of signal of immobile targets by way of alternate period subtraction and on reduction of obtained bipolar signal of radial movement to one surface. Radar signals reflected from targets are in addition received by second receiving antenna spaced apart from first one, in-phase and quadrature components of signals received over first and second channels are extracted by coherent detection and used to form signal of tangential movement of targets. Signal of immobile targets of second channel is suppressed by way of alternate period subtraction. Obtained bipolar signal of tangential movement of targets is reduced to one polarity and video signals of radial and tangential movement of targets are summed up to obtain resulting signal of moving targets for subsequent display. Thus, estimation of tangential speed of target thanks to formation of spatial reception base provides for possibility of selection of signals of targets moving with radial speed equal to zero or close to it during time multiple of repetition period of sounding signals.
