FIELD: powder metallurgy; applicable in production of powders of iron, copper, nickel, cobalt, tungsten, molybdenum and metal alloys by chemical methods. SUBSTANCE: method includes chemical precipitation of, at least, one metal hydroxide by alkali solution with formation of suspension, diafiltration of obtained suspension with separation of solution of at least, one metal hydroxide, its dehydration, preliminary heating of, at least, one metal hydroxide and its reduction with obtaining of metal powder and subsequent passivation of said powder. In this case, sorption purification of suspension is carried out simultaneously with diafiltration. Reduction of metal hydroxide and metal powder passivation are effected with active mixing of material. Invention provides for production of metal ultradispersed powder with structure of particles possessing low level of distortions and absent extended defects and also high purity metal powders consisting of particles of monodispersed state with preserved narrow fractional composition and preset morphology. Method ensures possibility of regulation of dispersity at all stages of process. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 7 cl, 4 tbl, 4 ex
