FIELD: devices for production of oxygen and hydrogen by electrolysis of alkali aqueous solutions; applicable, either as member of supply system of internal combustion engine, or as apparatus for material flame machining. SUBSTANCE: electrolyzer includes terminal monopolar electrodes between which alternating diaphragms and bipolar all-metal electrodes are successively clamped through sealing flexible material spacers. Diaphragms, bipolar electrodes and sealing spacers have holes for forming channels, when assembled, for supply of electrolyte and gas withdrawal. Electrolyzer is provided with system preventing gas accumulation and having temperature pickup, logic element and d.c. source. Logic element output is connected with electrolyzer, logic element one input is connected with d.c. source, and its other input is connected with temperature pickup. Upper part of each diaphragm located above electrolyte surface is gas impermeable. EFFECT: excluded mixing of gases and their uncontrolled accumulation. 4 dwg
