FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: yarn with linear density of 15.4-29 tex is manufactured from 100%-polypropylene fiber with linear density of 0.13-0.33 tex and length of 35-38 mm. Yarn may contain mixture of polypropylene fiber with chemical and/or natural fibers used in predetermined ratio. EFFECT: improved quality by reduced linear density of yarn, increased wear-resistance and wider range of articles produced from such yarn. 2 tbl
