FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: yarn for woven and knitted articles containing cotton or chemical fibers, or their blend, or blend of cotton fibers with short staple flax fibers, or blend of cotton, chemical and short staple flax fibers, or blend of the latter with chemical fibers, or blend of chemical fibers, additionally contains regenerated fibers produced by processing of secondary wastes of silk spinning with definite ratio of components. This makes it possible to extend the assortment of articles manufactured from yarn produced on cotton spinning equipment with due consideration of fashion tendency and meeting the consumer demands, and saving of main raw materials. The offered method of yarn production provides for adding to blends of fibers of fibers produced in processing of secondary wastes of silk spinning with their preliminary stapling up to length of 15-40 mm and possibility of yarn forming with linear density of 20-72 tex on cotton-spinning equipment.
