FIELD: technical superconductivity, technology of manufacture of both short- and long- length stranded composite wires. SUBSTANCE: in correspondence with invention silver is doped with antimony in the amount of 0.5- 5.0 atomic per cent in process of melting in temperature interval from 1050 to 1100 C. Hollow ampoule and jacket of complex billet are produced from this alloy, ampoule is filled with powder of high-temperature superconducting compound, ampoule-powder system is deformed to required size. Deformed ampoule-powder system is cut into measured parts and complex billet is formed by placement of required number of measured parts of deformed ampoule-powder system in jacket of complex billet. Complex billet is deformed to required sizes and subjected to thermal and mechanical working. EFFECT: decreased cost of article thanks to selection of manufacturing conditions of wire which makes it feasible to use antimony not related to precious metals as doping additive.
