FIELD: fishery. SUBSTANCE: method involves generating in water medium discrete frequency modulated acoustic signals, which are emitted as intermittent pulses including three frequency intervals of at least 0.1 s duration. Center carrier frequency of each frequency interval is within the range of 2-6.3, 14-18 24-36 kHz, and modulated frequency does not exceed 160 kHz. Values of center carrier frequency of frequency intervals, duration thereof, modulated frequency and sequence of frequency intervals are selected by random number method.
