FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying two transcutaneous ultrasonic examinations of the stomach filled with liquid to be performed with 10-14 days long pause. Ulcer defect maximum diameter (UW) and its depth (UD) is measured and stomach wall thickness in the vicinity of defect fundus (WT). Healing rate (HR) is determined from formula HR= (WT2/UW2/UD2- WT1/UW1/UD1)/DN x 100, where 1 and 2 are the indices denoting values received in the first and the second examination, DN is the number of days separating the first and the second examination. HR being found to be greater than 1, accelerated healing is to be diagnosed. The value being between 0.3 and 0.29, retarded healing is to be diagnosed. The value being equal to 0, no dynamic is considered to be the case. Negative value witnesses negative dynamic to be the case. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of evaluation.
