FIELD: medicine, cardiology, chemistry of peptides. SUBSTANCE: invention proposes the novel antiarrhythmic agent of the I-st class that is heptadecapeptide of the following amino acid composition: Phe-Gly-Gly-Phe-Thr- -Gly-Ala-Arg-Lys-Ser-Ala-Arg-Lys-Ser-Ala-Arg-Lys-Leu-Ala-Asp- -Gln. This peptide is known as nocipentin. Efficiency of the proposed preparation is 10-fold more as compared with that of the known antiarrhythmic agent mexitil of the I-st class as tested in model of aconotine arrhythmias. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of agent. 2 tbl
