FIELD: technology of elastic refractory material intended for use in insulating, separating and sealing products of industrial units that melt metal, pout it into continuous semiproducts that mold ingots into shape. SUBSTANCE: anhydrous elastomer with molecular weight 100,000 to 300,000 in amount of 4.18.0 wt % is combined with carbon-containing material composed of bitumen or industrial carbon in amount of 1.5-15.0 wt %, plasticizer in the form of industrial oil, Vaseline, synthetic fatty acids in amount of 1.0-10.0 wt %; antiadhesive in the form of paraffin hydrocarbons; graphite lubricant, organosilicon compounds in amount of 0.5-4.0 wt %; and refractory filler composed of oxide materials, nitrides, carbides, graphite or mixtures thereof in amount of 53.0-93.0 wt %, 5 wt % of which are substituted by metallic powder which, when oxidized, forms refractory compounds prior to formation of homogeneous highly filled organomineral refractory free flowing mix and compound that does not separate into portions, plasticized and collected into compact homogeneous material from which elastic refractory products are made in the form of sheets, bands, profiles of desired section, shape and size.
