COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF MOLDING COMPOUND OF CARBONATED REFRACTORIES Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2171243 C1

FIELD: refractory industry, more particularly manufacture of carbonated refractories. SUBSTANCE: compound comprises, wt %: plasticizing granules, 5-40; complex finely divided filler, 1-3; composite carbon plasticizer, 27-29; granular refractory filler of polyfraction composition. Plasticizing granules comprise, wt %; graphite 31.0-87.0; Al, Si, Mg, B4C or combinations thereof; thermoreactive resin, 0.9-9.0; modifying additive in the form of pitch, black, organosilicon and/or organoboron compounds or combinations thereof. Complex finely divided filler is mixture of combined grinding, wt %: refractory material, 56.1-89.3; graphite, 5.1-7.0; powderlike thermoreactive resin, Al, Si, 0.1-10.0. Composite carbon plasticizer comprises, wt %: solvent carbon residue of not higher than 10 wt %, 27- 35; solvent with cake residue of at least 36 wt %, 35-60; hardener (urotropin), 3-10; water repellent agent with bulk density of 1.9-1.2 t/cubic m 10-20, 5-40 wt % of plasticizing granules with bulk density of 1.9-1.2 t/cubic m, 1-3 wt % of composite carbon plasticizer and 15-30 wt % of complex finely divided filler are added to stream of 27-79 wt % of granular refractory filler of polyfraction composition, and mixing is carried out till granules become completely plasticized, and mixing is continued at intensity that does not allow mixture to be heated to temperature above 40 C to form compound with bulk density of 1.5-2.0 t/cubic m, compound is discharged from mixer and laid for 0.5-12 hours with evacuation of gas evolutions, and products are then molded. EFFECT: more efficient molding method. 4 cl, 11 ex, 1 tbl
