FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, more particularly preparation of copper-phosphorus master alloys. SUBSTANCE: method comprises charging blend composed mixture of oxide calcium-phosphorus containing materials, reducing agent and copper, smelting at preset temperature and tapping smelted products. Reducing agent is metallic silicon and blend components used in amount that allow for P2O5: Si: Cu ratio of 1:(0.4- 1.0):(2.5-5) are smelted at 1623-1823 K, and slag is separated from master alloy by pouring them separately. Method makes it possible to prepared high-quality copper-phosphorus master alloy in one stage and to allow for safe technology avoiding use of red phosphorus.
