FIELD: mechanical engineering; gas-turbine engines. SUBSTANCE: invention provides reduction of oil losses in gas turbine-engine and simplifies design of drive in devices separating air from oil owing to gas-dynamic control of oil separation processes in centrifuge and breather rotors and prevention of turbulent stalls of oil film in housing multiple-start and synchronization of wave mixing action in cross-section of breather flow relative to velocity of waves on oil surface in film. Device has hollow housing, breather impeller mounted on rotary supports and including hollow bushing with blades and ports in bushing. Multi-start threaded channels are made inside housing, and ports to deliver air-oil mixture, oil drain channel and air outlet branch pipe are made in housing walls. Device has centrifuge rotor and shaft inner space common with breather impeller. Space inside common shaft is connected with centrifuge input and ports to deliver air- oil mixture and is hermetically insulated from centrifuge output. Output of each threaded channel inside housing is located in space between impeller blades, and its input is located in adjacent space formed by adjacent blade opposite to direction of rotation at a distance equal to two pitches of threaded channel, minimum. Width of each channel does not exceed thickness of each blade. Length of upper end face part of each blade enclosed by threaded channels is 4.0 - 7.0 lengths of profile of blade face part limited by ports for delivery of air-oil mixture.
