FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: this breather relates to aircraft engine production, particularly, to aircraft gas turbine engine oil system elements. Proposed breather comprises case with oil discharge thread and oil-catch groove and impeller fitted therein, impeller inlet being communicated with gas-oil mix feed channel and outlet being connected with breather outlet pipe. Impeller flow section is composed of guide diaphragm with diameter increasing towards outlet. Note here that diaphragm section of maximum diameter smaller than that of impeller blades makes along with said case the extra openings communicated via gas discharge openings with breather discharge pipe. Impeller blades arranged in oil-catch groove area have the ledge extending in said groove. Oil-catch groove is communicated with the inlet of controlled spring-loaded constant differential-pressure valve connected with the engine oil system.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of oil separation and decreased oil consumption.
