FIELD: determination of gravity acceleration. SUBSTANCE: quartz gravity meter includes case filled with damping fluid. Protective glass with biprism having reflecting coats on upper faces is installed in upper base. Springy system of torsional type with horizontal pendulum and mirror anchored on it is placed into damping fluid. Photoelectric converter incorporates radiation source and objective lens made of two components cemented together, beam-splitting unit, slit diaphragm mounted in focal plane of objective lens and photodetector placed in adjacent focal plane of objective lens. Cemented components of objective lens are negative and positive meniscuses facing image with convexity. In addition objective lens is fitted with positive lens and positive component cemented together from biconvex and biconcave lenses set in sequence after above-mentioned meniscuses and mounted at angle of not more than 4 angular degrees with regard to optical axis of objective lens. Beam-splitting unit is made in the form of plane-parallel plate. Photoelectric converter comes in the form of CCD matrix whose rows are directed along axis of matrix and size of slit diaphragm makes it possible to cover aggregate of rows of matrix simultaneously. Pair of optical wedges is mounted for turn around axis parallel to optical axis of objective lens on upper surface of protective glass above mirror of pendulum.
